Welcome on the website of the
Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of France

Here you can discover several Masonic Orders whose origins go back to the "Antients" Grand Lodge.

They are restricted to Regular Master Masons desirous of deepening the knowledge they have acquired in the first three Degrees.

I hope this Website will enable Freemasons to catch a glimpse of the richness and diversity of the Degrees open to them, and lead them to make enquiries and consider seeking admission into new avenues in Masonry.

All French associations must comply to the statutory requirements of the "Law of 1st July, 1901".
Le On 11th January 1997, a few months before the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of France, would-be members of that Grand Lodge met in Toulouse following the last annual meeting of the District of France under the English Constitution within which they had hitherto been working.  They resolved to form a Body corporate to be named Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of France.

These founder members also worked other Degrees of Anglo-Saxon origin and, knowing that these Masonic Orders were soon to reach sovereignty, they wished their new Society also to shelter these Orders once independent, should they so desire, conformably to French laws. This Association therefore currently provides the legal framework for the following Orders:

  • The Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of France
  • The Grand Lodge of the Antient and Honourable Fraternity of Royal Ark Mariners for France
  • The Grand Council of the Order of the Allied Masonic Degrees for France
  • The Grand Imperial Conclave for France of the Masonic and Military Order of the Red Cross of Constantine and of the Orders of the Holy Sepulchre and of Saint John the Evangelist
  • The Grand Conclave of the Order of the Secret Monitor or Brotherhood of David and Jonathan for France
  • The Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of France
  • The Grand College of Holy Royal Arch Knight Templars Priests or Order of Holy Wisdom for France

These several Orders, very closely linked, as having chosen the same Brother as their Grand Master (under various titles according each Order), restrict their membership to Regular Freemasons, i.e. in France, members of the French National Grand Lodge (G.L.N.F.).
